Malala's Life

Malala Yousafzai. Person of the year 2012. Survivor. Nobel Peace Prize 2014. Malala describes herself as a regular girl that only likes to help people. But to the world Malala is much more than that. For the world Malala is the girl that got shot by the Taliban and continued fighting against oppression to people and for the right of everyone in the world to get an education. She gives public speeches to people, politicians, kings and governments. She normally talks about how education is so important for people to understand what is happening and have a chance to do something if they don't like the situation they are going to be able to analyze the problem and put a solution to it. She was not a worldwide known public figure since birth. She became famous step by step. When she was born she was just a normal girl. In her earliest learning years her dad influenced in a really good way, he was always telling Malala how important education is and that she read and write everyday. Despite she is a woman, and woman have no privileges in the middle east, but she received special treatment from her family. They saw something in her that made her special. When she was ready to go to school she went to his dad's school. His dad was the founder and principal of the school. She was the best one in every of her classes and she participated in every possible extracurricular activity. When the taliban came to power her father's school was closed and girls were banned from going to school and at that point is where her fight for education started.Malala was totally opposed to the Taliban and their rules. The Taliban banned Malala from doing what she loves the most, going to school. After some time running away from the Taliban she decided to stop running away and face them. Malala publicly criticized the Taliban saying that women and men should have the same rights and that everyone should receive and education, not only men. But, on October 9, 2012 she was shot by a Taliban gunman because of what she publicly said. However, against the odds, after undergoing rehabilitation Malala came back stronger than ever. She has given speeches at the UN. And thanks to those speeches, several governments have realized how important education is, starting several education rights movement.
